Step-by-Step Instructions for Configuring
SMTP Authentication STEP 1:
- Open Outlook Express.
- Click "Tools" on the menu bar then
- Click "Accounts..." from the drop down menu

STEP 2:
- Click the "Mail" tab in the
Internet Accounts window (shown below)
- Click once on your Netconex email account to highlight it
then
- Click the "Properties" menu option on the right
side of the window

STEP 3:
- Click the "Servers" tab in the window
that opens. The "Servers" screen is shown below.
- Verify that the Account name: field includes your full email
address with a "%" in place of the "@".
- At the bottom of the window, is a checkbox labeled "My server
requires authentication".
- Click once in the white box to the left of the label to place a
check mark there, as shown below.

STEP 4:
- Click the "OK" button to close all open
windows
- Click the "Close" button to close the Internet Accounts
window
- On the menu bar, Click "File" then "Exit" to
close Outlook Express
- Reboot your computer
