Step-by-Step Instructions for Windows 95/98 (Page 2 of 2)

STEP 4:

 - Right Click on Netconex icon
 - Click Properties from the drop down menu

STEP 5: 

- Verify "Use country code and area code" is not checked
- Click the "Server Types" tab

STEP 6: 

- Verify the following check boxes:
      - "Log on to network" is not checked
      - "Enable software compression" is checked
      - "Require encrypted password" is not checked
      - "NetBEUI" is not checked
      - "IPX/SPX Compatible" is not checked
      - "TCP/IP" is checked
- Click the "TCP/IP Settings..." Button

STEP 7:

- Verify the following selections:
      - "Server assigned IP address" is selected
      - "Server assigned name server addresses" is selected
      - "Use IP header compression" is checked
      - "Use default gateway on remote network" is checked
- Click "OK" Button to close TCP/IP Settings Window

 

STEP 8:

- Click "OK" Button again to close Netconex Window
- You have successfully completed the configuration of your dial-up service!
